01 — Food logging
Snap it. When it's not sure, it asks.
Sauces and fried food throw other apps off by hundreds of calories. Forma asks one short question and takes the numbers from a verified database.

- Lunch menu from a board
- Plus
- Beer, lager, alcohol-free

02 — Smart targets
Leg day eats differently than rest day.
Forma sees your plan and what your watch recorded. It adds carbs before a hard session and trims them on rest days. Every Sunday it checks targets against your weight and reality.

FAQ
Before you ask.
How much does it cost?
The core app is free forever. Plus is €11.99 a year or €2.99 a month (US: $24.99 / $3.99) and starts with a 7-day free trial. We remind you the day before it ends. Billing goes through the App Store and you cancel in your subscription settings.
What is free?
Manual food logging including quick calories and macros, barcodes, label photos, typed meals, beer, fixed daily targets, the full workout log, 3 custom plans, the exercise library, Partner, widgets, data export and 3 AI food photos a day. On the watch: workout logging, the gesture, Apple Health, complications and quick logs.
What does Plus add?
Up to 20 AI photos a day, targets that follow your training, a weekly check-in and report, training and meal plan generators with a shopping list, automatic progression, full history, rest by heart rate and voice food logging on the watch.
Where is my data?
Our servers run in the EU (Amsterdam). Health data is a special category under GDPR, so we process it only with your explicit consent and store only what is needed. You delete your account and data inside the app and can export everything anytime. Analytics count events only, never health values or what you eat.
What happens to my food photo?
The photo goes through our server to an AI model. It is never stored permanently. If the app needs to ask a follow-up question, the server keeps it for 30 minutes at most. Body photos never leave your phone.
Does it give medical advice?
No. Forma is not a medical device and does not diagnose or suggest medication. For extreme goals it warns you and keeps a minimum daily intake. Ask a doctor or dietitian about health questions.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. The iPhone app stands on its own. With a watch (watchOS 11+) you also get training on your wrist, complications and quick logs.
Do I have to use AI?
No. Turn AI off and the app works like a classic food diary.
Which phones are supported?
iPhone with iOS 18 or later. No Android plans yet.
